It has finally been confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will in fact be receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update, along with the whole Galaxy A series.

Up until now, Samsung has allowed this update for its more notable phones, such as the Galaxy S series. It was unknown for a long time if the Note 2 would be receiving the new update.

"Note 2 owners were hopeful when regional arms of Samsung in Europe's Nordic region apparently confirmed that the smartphone would in fact receive an Android 5.0 lollipop update.

"However, as regional arms of the company have put out inaccurate information in the past regarding software updates, many remained skeptical," writes Tech Times.

A recent report from inside Samsung has been recently released confirming the update for the device as soon as June 15^th.
