Although Samsung has remained silent on the specifications and the release date of its upcoming smartphone dubbed as the Galaxy A8, an image of the supposed device along with its specs has appeared online recently suggesting that the device may be launched soon.

A report in IB Times says that the image of the purported Galaxy A8 appeared only following a certification issued to it by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Chinese telecommunications governing body, TENAA.

GSM Arena reports that the image was spotted by one of its readers in a Samsung brochure and it is believed to be that of Galaxy A8. The reader forwarded the image to GSM Arena, the publication claimed.

According to a report by GSM Arena, one of its readers spotted the picture of a device believed to be the Samsung Galaxy A8 in a brochure in South Korea and forwarded it to the website. Nearly all the specifications of the purported device mentioned in the pictures are in line with those reported on the Galaxy A8.

The report says that Galaxy A8 weighs 141g and measures 158 × 76.8 × 5.9 mm, sports a 143.9mm. The device features a 5.66-inch FHD Super AMOLED screen, and it powered by Octa Core (Quad 1.8 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz) processor. In addition, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The image posted on GSM Arena shows that the device comes with 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 2GB RAM, and houses a 3,050mAh battery. Galaxy A8 offers LTE Cat. 6 with VoLTE, DMB, and features a 16 megapixel primary rear camera alongside 5 megapixel front snapper.

Then again, the TENAA listing revealed that the Galaxy A8 may possibly feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with 1920×1080 resolution, and measure 158 × 76.77 × 5.94 mm. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, have 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot and have 2GB RAM. In addition, it will come with a 16 megapixel main camera and 5 megapixel front snapper, and weighs 142 grams.
