Samsung Galaxy A Release Date & Specs News: Tech Titan Launches Device in United States on May 1
On May 1st, The Samsung Galaxy Tab A will be made available for purchase in the United States, from Amazon, Best Buy, and HH Gregg.
However, the specifications of the device have been deemed less than exciting. The tablet comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The camera on the device is 5 MP and both sizes of the tablet come with1024 by 768 screen resolution.
The screen resolution is where most critics find fault with the device because it is such poor quality, with no option for upgrade as both sizes have the same specifications in this respect.
The 8 inch version of the tablet starts selling at $230 and the 9.7 inch version is going for $70 more than that. Another difference between the two versions of the device are the batteries.
The 8 inch Galaxy Tab A comes with a 4,200 mAh battery. On the other hand, the 9.7 inch version of the device comes with a 6,000 mAh battery, which helps to support the larger display.
Other than this, both versions are exactly the same. Both of them are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
Both sizes of the device come in the colors white, blue and Smoky Titanium and the item is available for pre-order.
There will be a separate 9.7 inch version of the tablet made available starting May 17, which will come with an S-Pen and be sold for $350.
All models are equipped with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint as well as 100 GB of One Drive storage for two years.
