Sam Smith & Nathan Sykes News: Singers Collaborating on New Track - For 'Soulful Pop' Album

Another exciting revelation was just announced by former 'The Wanted' singer, Nathan Sykes. According to the British singer, a possible collaboration between him and Sam Smith may happen soon. In his interview with E! News recently, Sykes revealed his plans for his music career.

Sykes is apparently quite supportive of British artists including Smith, Adele and Ed Sheeran who are doing well also in the music industry. "Sam Smith at the Grammys was just insane," Sykes said in his interview with E! News at his London home. "I've listening to a lot of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and I'm living in hope for this Adele album. So, yes, I am quite biased toward the Brits," he added.

Sykes also revealed his collaboration talks with the famous 'Stay With Me' singer, Smith. "We've spoken about going into the studio before and I think it's quite likely going to happen over the next year," he said. "It'll be insane. I think it'll be such a great opportunity to create something really cool," Sykes added.

The young Brit singer is currently looking for more opportunities to show what he can do as a solo artist now that he left his former band. "I think people just kind of saw me as the baby-faced one from The Wanted and the young one who sang like a couple of verses in 'Glad You Came,'" he said, adding, "This is an opportunity to show that I can write and produce really good music."

Good music, meaning, "soulful pop," Sykes revealed of the genre that he and Smith might produce next year. Sykes, who is currently busy working on his solo debut album also revealed that a song which is his break up song for Ariana Grande is included.

"It's a very nice breakup song," Sykes said adding, "I think if people are expecting me to throw shade...that's not going to happen. I'm not that type of person. I'd like be known to be a very kindhearted person." Sykes' love life had been in the media's microscope in the past as he previously dated the famous 'Bang Bang' singer.

Now, Sykes shares that he is single and is just busy with his career. "I've been very busy over the last year and there is unfortunately no time for romance in my life," he said. Sykes even joked about spending Valentine's Day alone. "It's Breaking Bad or 'All by Myself' on repeat all day. I think Breaking Bad is the better option," he said.
