Sacramento Kings NBA 2014 News, Rumors: Contract Extension Signed with Small Forward Rudy Gay
Sacramento Kings have reportedly signed a three year contract extension with small forward Rudy Gay, who's 28-years-old and has been playing for the franchise since December, 2013.
Gay signed the extension agreement of $40 Million for three years with the Kings on Saturday night. It was the same night on which the Kings won against defending champion San Antonio Spurs. It's important to note, Gay has one year remaining on his present deal paying him $19.3 million for the current season.
For the Kings, it's not just retaining Gay, but increasing chances of retaining other players who will see the deal as a positive note, and consider the Kings for extension themselves in the upcoming seasons.
Considering Gay, he has been marvelous since Dec. 2013, after inefficient performances for a substantially long while.
He shot 48 percent in 55 games with the Kings last year. For the Kings, they have registered successful victories against leading teams of the league including defending champions on the day they signed the extension agreement. Even for Kings this is a revival after going 28-54 in each of the last two seasons.
The upcoming seasons will be more exciting for the fans of Gay and Kings as the Sacramento Kings will be more energetic so that they can supply a spectacular performance for their fans.
