Ryan Gosling News: 'Lost River' Director Gushes over Eva Mendes after Film Debut

As actor and now director Ryan Gosling debuted his directing skills in his latest film 'Lost River', the proud director revealed that he couldn't have done it without his real-life partner and mother to his child, Eva Mendes.

Talking to Australian's Sunday Style, Gosling, didn't want to put all the attention on him, instead, he gave so much light to actress Mendes who apparently helped him all throughout the making of the film. "She indirectly picked things that became very important to different people involved," Gosling told the publication praising Mendes

Apparently, Mendes is a simple girl and also doesn't want any credit for all the help she gave to Gosling. "She hates credit and she'll even be mad that I'm giving her that credit. But she was very helpful in so many ways," Gosling added.

Gosling seemed to be doing it all these days, being an actor, a director, a partner to Mendes and even a father to their child. But apparently, Gosling reveals that he was not a lady killer back in high school.

"Growing up, I never played sports. And I guess, growing up, the guys girls liked were jocks or you know that sort of thing and because I never did that; I was in dance class and things like that," he shared. "Also I just grew up around a lot of girls."

"I was [involved] in a lot of their conversations about guys and I found it frustrating because I felt like I must not be a threat if they're being so open in front of me. That used to bother me [laughs]. Yeah, that bothered me. I didn't like that," he continued.

Well, the past is in the past. Now, Gosling has already proven to be a great man both professionally and personally.
