Upon promoting the second screening of his new film, actor and now director Ryan Gosling can't help but praise the people he worked with in the film including of course, his girlfriend Eva Mendes whom he also had a baby with just last September.

In his appearance at the second screening of his film 'Lost River' where he was introduced as a director, Gosling in an interview with Guillermo Del Toro had quite a sense of humor about the women in his life.

"I really like working with my friends, I love all of these people," Gosling said talking about the actors who starred in his film when Guillermo added: "You have a baby with one of them!" Hilariously, Gosling replied saying, "I do. I have lots of complicated, amazing women in my life, and that's increasing."

More women in his life only meant that it was Mendes and their new baby girl Esmeralda that added joy to Gosling's life. Gosling also mentioned that Mendes is amazing in his other interview with E! News' reporter Jesse Giddings.

Gosling said "she's amazing, it's an amazing experience," when asked about how it was like being a new father with Mendes. Meanwhile, as Mendes also worked with his beau in the film, Gosling can't help but gush about how great Mendes is as an actress too.

"She helped like all of the actors," Gosling said, adding "I didn't really direct them. I picked them because they would kind of direct me." other cast members included in the film were Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Matt Smith and Ben Mendelsohn.

Meanwhile, on the part of Mendes, the new mom recently revealed in an appearance at Ellen DeGeneres' show how exhausted she is being a new mom which is how she wants it. "I'm exhausted and it's the best," Mendes told DeGeneres, "Really, I'm so incredibly tired. I thought I was tired before at times, but no. Nothing like this, but I wouldn't have it any other way," she added.
