Rosie Perez News: Actress & Talk Show Host is Officially Leaving 'The View'
Rosie Perez who's a co-host on ABC's 'The View' says she is leaving the show for real this time, as the show's officials just recently made a statement confirming the news.
"Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting," The View executive producer Bill Wolff said in a statement adding, "Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day."
Indeed a dedicated host is hard to lose especially with Perez being known to be quite dedicated to her chosen craft and now, with Perez choosing to go full-time being an actress on broadway she again proves that she wants to be fully dedicated at whatever project she decides to do.
Perez previously took a month off on her chair as one of the hosts in the show to make time for her quick stint for Larry David's 'Fish in the Dark' play. Meanwhile Perez now also released a statement explaining that she is leaving because of her broadway career. "Rosie wants to thank ABC for their graciousness and their flexibility with her schedule during the Broadway run," a rep for Perez said.
It has been reported that Perez' last day on the hit daytime show will be on the show's season finale this August 6. "Rosie will always be a part of The View family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up," Wolff continued. "We'll plan a proper send off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show."
