Broadway actress Rita Wilson finally dressed up for the 2015 Tony Awards two months after undergoing double mastectomy and reconstruction. The actress, bringing along her son happily announced that she has finally won her battle with breast cancer.
It is always good to have a night out of town especially since you have reason to celebrate and Wilson definitely has so many reasons. Gorgeous in a black Tom Ford dress showed off her fit physique and of course her joyful smile as she posed for the cameras on her Red Carpet appearance at the event.
In an interview, Wilson couldn't help but be excited for the annual Broadway awards night as she herself has been part of it having a role in 'Fish in the Dark'.
"I feel great," she told E! News last Sunday night at the Tonys. "When you do Broadway, you have a family there and one at home as well. I had so much love through the process. I'm very thankful," she added.
Thankful indeed, Wilson also shared that she finally "won" the battle against breast cancer and is now reportedly gearing up to be back on stage for her broadway show.
Wilson brought along Colin Hanks, her son to celebrate and enjoy the performances, the two even posted a quick photo of themselves while inside the Radio City Music Hall posting the photo on twitter writing, "@ColinHanks, my son, and I @TheTonyAwards," Wilson wrote adding, "Just sat down! Great seats!"
Indeed it is a rare sight to see and the fans can now always see Wilson as she takes on a new life winning her battle from breast cancer. "I feel blessed to have a loving, supportive husband, family, friends and doctors and that I am the beneficiary of advances in the field of breast cancer and reconstruction. I am getting better every day and look forward to renewed health," Wilson previously said in a statement. "I hope this will encourage others to get a second opinion and to trust their instincts if something doesn't 'feel' right."
