Microsoft has just released the official cinematic trailer of the upcoming video game 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' giving rise to much enthusiasm among the fans.

Quoting IGN, Latin Post reports that the footage of the 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' teases that further details regarding the Microsoft title would be revealed at the Redmond-based tech titan's press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) slated for June 15.

According to voice actress Camilla Luddington, who features in the trailer narrating the snowy blizzard journey of Lara Croft, "Throughout history, the boldest have dared to go further. They risk death and in doing so, they live forever."

The video, which runs for about two minute, is titled, 'Aim Greater.' It tells the fans about discovery and greatness, while the character keeps trekking over an ice-covered mountain and ultimately into what can be depicted as a tomb. Luddington's narration continues, saying, "What drives these few to go to the ends of the Earth? The desire to discover something more. The search for something greater."

According to VG247, the game was revealed for the first time about a year ago, during the 2014 E3 and some months later, Microsoft confirmed that 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' would be exclusively released for its consoles in 2015.

Even this year's latest Lara Croft adventure is exclusively meant for Xbox, but VG247 noted that the title may also be released for PlayStation platforms someday.

ComingSoon has published a summary of the 'Rise of the Tomb Raider,' which reads, "Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the story of Lara Croft as she seeks to learn more about the deeper, secret world she has discovered around her. Obsessed by what she has seen, Lara is now threatened by a shadow organization intent on killing her for what she knows. She is pushed to her physical and mental limits as she seeks the truth buried deep within the tombs of an ancient world. To unravel the mystery of a Lost City, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider."

It is expected that further details related to Microsoft's new game will be unveiled during the upcoming 2015 E3.
