Zombies have become the favorite theme of movies and games nowadays, and Lara Croft may just face her fair share of the undead.

According to the latest news from the Xbox website, a new DLC for "Rise of the Tomb Raider," titled "Cold Darkness Awakened," comes out on Mar 29 at the Xbox Store and Windows Store.

The description reads:

A decommissioned Cold War research base has been breached, unleashing a deadly affliction from its Siberian slumber. As the illness seeps into the wilderness surrounding the base, Trinity soldiers transform into bloodthirsty killers who thrive on carnage. To prevent the affliction from spreading, Lara must rely on her wits, physical agility, and crafting abilities to overcome this new enemy and shut down the decommissioned base.

According to the news article, the new DLC is included in the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" season pass, which already includes the Endurance Mode, which was released in December last year and billed as the "ultimate woman-versus-wild" test.

However, Destructoid described the Endurance Mode DLC as quite unnecessary.

"A lot of these elements to just be baked into the core game, but since I assume a lot of folks would complain that it's 'too hard,' we have this mode instead -- a risk-reward, arcadey score attack concept," it said.

The season pass of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" also includes the DLC for "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch." Watch out for more news about the game and upcoming downloadable content which will be published here when they become available.
