At a time when social media is at its peak, celebrities and music icons take advantage of the new media to promote their work. The latest singer to surprise everyone is Rihanna who just announced that she's got a new single for her fans.

However, fans are still waiting for the new album that's been talked about for months now.

The hit RnB singer took to Instagram a sort of artsy-type photo of herself wearing a leather jacket over her bare body with her tattoos quite noticeable. Rihanna captioned the what-seemed-to-be a snapshot Polaroid photo of herself with "rihannaNOW.com #R8 #BBHMM #March26," she wrote.

Rihanna looked quite different in the black and white photo she recently posted which fans of hers are still quite puzzled about. RiRi had bushy eyebrows which some are saying are like that of model Cara Delevigne's.

It is still unknown when Rihanna will release R8, but reports claim that it will definitely be a new super music project including Ne-Yo. Back in November, Rihanna was quite tight lipped when asked about her upcoming new album.

"Tell them they'll have to wait!" Rihanna told E! News in a previous interview. She added saying, "I'm in the studio right now with a killer team and I'm excited about what we're doing." It has been months since she announced working in the studio and it seems like it's the right time to release a new album as many have speculated.

Ne-Yo as well, even hyped up Rihanna fans in his interview with the same news agency saying "The stuff I've heard is absolutely incredible. I can't speak on what it sounds like because I'll get in trouble. But I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it," he dished, "Anybody that's a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan, and anybody that's not might become a Rihanna fan...just gear up for it," Ne-Yo said.
