'Rick And Morty' Season 3 News: Series To Return In Late 2016 Or Early 2017?; Rick Goes To Jail?
Along with new story arc theories, new details on the return date of Cartoon Network's "Rick and Morty" season 3 have surfaced.
"Rick and Morty" season 3 is set to return in the latter part of 2016 not in early 2017. In his interview with Paste Magazine, series co-creator Dan Harmon debunked rumors that the Cartoon Network series is set to be out by July or August. He said that he could squash, adding that he did not see any parallel universe where August was a possibility.
According to Parent Herald, Harmon's statement implies that the production for "Rick and Morty" season 3 is still in the works and Cartoon Network is set to announce details on the series' exact release date.
With regard the series' story arc, theories revealed that Rick is set to be in jail while his friend Morty is set to do everything in order to take him out from the prison. According to Movie News Guide, Rick becomes a leader in the galactic prison and Morty entails help from a private investigator to help him search for Rick.
In addition, an impostor Rick and the real Morty are set to bond together in "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 3. As per Parent Herald, the episode will also see the arrival of the evil Morty, who abducts the real Morty to his advantage.
However, it looks like Rick and Morty's separation would not take for a long time, as they are set to reunite. According to Movie News Guide, episode 4 will see the two join forces to save the Smith family from the Intergalactic Federation.
Overall, Cartoon Network's "Rick and Morty" season 3 is set to air in 2016 or 2017.
