‘Rick And Morty’ Renewed For Season 3, To Expand With ‘Dog World’ Storyline
Fans gets an early present from the American adult animated TV series "Rick and Morty," since it is set to continue for another season.
The network Adult Swim confirmed that the exploits of the alcoholic scientist Rick Sanchez and his obedient grandson Morty are set to go on, since "Rick and Morty" has been renewed for season 3, according to Venture Capiital Post.
"Rick and Morty" has been ordered with ten episodes for season 3, instead of the rumored 19 episodes. This means that the third season cuts the tradition of having 19 episodes per season. Co-creator Justin Rolland reportedly denied that the show is set to have more than 10 episodes.
According to Master Herald, "Rick and Morty" season 3 is set to feature parts of an earlier piece Rolland made. Entitled "Dog World," Rolland's 2012 unaired animated series be join the "Rick and Morty" universe; however, this is yet to be confirmed.
"Dog World" follows a boy named Peter Michaels who gets pulled into a wormhole, along with his brother Edmund and young sister Sally. They get to encounter a new world populated by talking animorphic dog with animal-like humans as their pets.
Rolland also wrote on his official Twitter account about a campaign which gives an opportunity for fans to voice an alien overlord in Adult Swim's Rick and Morty. Participants may give their most evil laugh on the alien overlord to be killed of by Rick the a new "Rick and Marty" episode. According to the information on the website Omaze, the winner has the chance to get flown out and put up in a 4-star hotel.
There are also several stuffs that fans may have on the website, such as a digital "Thank You" video from Dan Harmon and Roiland, a limited edition "Rick and Morty" T-Shirt, an exclusive "Rick and Morty" matching flash and T-Shirt, a storyboard concept art print, and a script signed by Harmon and Roiland.
"Rick and Morty" season 3 is set to return to televisions on March 5, 2017.
