At the end of Episode 19 of the fourth season of Revenge, Emily Thorne, portrayed by actress Emily VanCamp, appears to have made a new enemy.

The final scene of the episode, which was entitled "Exposure," showed an unknown character circling Amanda's face with a red Sharpie, iconic to the show. This leaves fans with the following question: who could be after Emily, even after he has revealed her true identity?

Promo pictures for the upcoming episode, which will be entitled "Aftermath," imply that there will be a character from Emily's past making a reappearance.

Mason Treadwell, played by Roger Bart, will be coming back into her life in the episode that will air on April 26^th.

The last time Mason appeared on the show, he was helping to put David in prison for a terrorist attack, which he was framed for.

Emily saw to it that Mason was put in prison as revenge for what he had done, but he used his time behind bars to write a true crime story of the Clarke family, threatening to blackmail them.

In order to prevent this, Emily faked Mason's death and broke him out of prison in order to convince him not to share what he knew.

There is not much information about why Mason has returned, or what will happen once he has. However, in the stills released of the episode, "Aftermath," he can be seen meeting Emily in her car. The character's reappearance takes place after a fire that wrecked a house in the Hamptons.

The synopsis for the episode states that Emily will "sift through the wreckage of her life," causing some concerns about her to arise among her friends.
