'Resident Evil Revelations 2' News: Survival Horror Title Being Ported to the PlayStation Vita

The final episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 was recently released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 game consoles. Now, it has been revealed that the game's developers at Frima Studio are working hard to produce a version of the game that will be compatible for play on the PlayStation Vita, the hand held gaming system.

While there has not been much information released on the game play and features that will be specific to the PlayStation Vita, and no firm release date, it is known that the new version of the game will be released this summer.

The PlayStation Vita version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 will have all four episodes of the the game as well as all released downloadable content up to this point.

Single player Raid Mode will be included at the launch of the game, but the online multi-player Raid Mode and the ad-hoc modes will more likely be added after the launch, by way of an update.

This is to allow PlayStation to get the full version of the game optimized for PS Vita into users hands faster.

The developers have also added Gyroscopic Targeting in order to make shooting weapons more appropriate for the Vita.

The game, Resident Evil Revelations 2, did well for Capcom in its first run on the game consoles, getting above average ratings and praise, although the game was developed with a lower than usual budget.

Game players and PlayStation Vita owners believe that the game would be a good fit for the hand held console.

This is especially true, because the developers plan to add features to the game that are unique to the Vita, like the Gyroscopic Targeting.
