'Resident Evil 7' Release Date: Game Features Multiple And Threatening Villains To Be Featured

Capcom's "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is coming soon and as per reports, the game is set to feature multiple and threatening villains. Also, the game's trailer features certain items that are useful to players in-game.

Game producer Masochika Kawata himself confirmed that the players will encounter a lot of foes at a time, Gaming Bolt has learned. As per the publication, this transitions from the original one-on-one combat players have seen in the previous game installments.

In his interview with YugaTech, Kawata said that there were situations where it was the player versus several enemies. He added that there would be no situations where it was him against 20 to 30 enemies like in "Resident Evil 6," but it was also not just one versus one.

Players are also set to meet more challenging sort of villains in "Biohazard." In his previous interview with IGN, game director Koushi Nakanishi said that the game was not going to be some kind of zombie horror where players had to mow down zombies. He added that they were trying to take it into a more personal and intimate scale of horror by there being lower enemies, but each one poses a significant threat.

"That's the kind of horror approach we're going for," Nakanishi said.

In line with the game, Capcom also previously released a teaser called called "Stock Up," which shows the character open his switch knife, opens a box, and cuts a circuit breaker to get some items. As per the video title, it is vital for players to save items, such as green herb and other items; these could come in handy in times of struggle.

Developed and published by Capcom, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is set to be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on Jan. 24, 2017.
