'Resident Evil 7' Release Date News, Rumors: Capcom To Reveal Game Title At E3 Event; Set For 2017 Release?

New details on the release date for Sony's game title "Resident Evil 7" have surfaced.

According to NSEA Voice, "Resident Evil 7" and "Resident Evil 2" Remake are set to be launched at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, which is scheduled this month. As per the publication, the remake of the hit action video game is set to be released in the latter part of the year; however, "Resident Evil 7" is set to be released in 2017.

A 2017 release for "Resident Evil 7" seems to be logical, as per the publication, since releasing two game titles in the same year would affect the sales individually generated by each game. In addition, it would allow Capcom to work on some of the game's weak points, in addition to upgrading the title's graphics and additional elements in the game play.

With adequate time for Capcom to enhance the playability of "Resident Evil 7," it is assumed that it would give a directly proportional effect to the title's sales. According to Game Spot, it can be recalled that "Resident Evil 6" did not impress gamers well that it only had an average of 4.5 out of 10 rating from critics.

"Resident Evil 7" is also set to return to its horrifying origins, as previously suggested by Kantan Games CEO Derkan Toto. On May 17, he tweeted that "Resident Evil 7," which he revealed to be in development, would go back to its horror roots and essentially be a clean state.

Overall, "Resident Evil 7" and "Resident Evil 2" Remake are set to be unveiled on June 14 to 16.
