'Resident Evil 4' News: Game Set For Fall Release Date On PS4?
Capcom has announced that the "Resident Evil" 4 will be available for both the PS4 and the Xbox One this fall. This comes in the wake of the launch of the "Resident Evil 6" in March and the "Resident Evil 5" in June.
According to IGN, said there's something to look forward to on "Resident Evil 4" from a nostalgic standpoint since it will include the bonus content from way back in 2005.
In the next iterations of the installment, there were the Ada Wong story and the Mercenaries mode and these were included in the new game as well. There's also the New Game Plus action which Capcom said allows "players to bring their powerful arsenal, unlocked costumes, and other secret weapons into a fresh playthrough."
"Want to focus on yourself instead of protecting Ashley?" it said. "Equip her with the knight armor costume and laugh as enemy's attempt to attack her or carry her off with futility. Leon's Chicago Typewriter - an insanely powerful Tommy Gun - also provides a fun power trip if you have enough cash to give the infamous Merchant."
Game Rant, meanwhile, said that it makes sense for Capcom to announce the release date of "Resident Evil 4" this year as it marks the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
Aside from "Resident Evil" 4, 5 and 6, Capcom is also planning to remake the "Resident Evil 2," which could also mean that "Resident Evil 3" is in the works. Out of all the installments, in fact, only "Code Veronica" seems to have no chance of being remade.
The release date for "Resident Evil 4" is said to be on Aug. 20 and it's priced at $20.
