Phoenix Suns NBA 2015 News: Markieff Morris Latest Sun to Want Out of Phoenix

After a surprising and inspiring run in their first season under head coach Jeff Hornacek, the Phoenix Suns have been on a tailspin, shuffling a core that appeared to be a cohesive and entertaining unit, into a bunch of mismatched parts. Goran Dragic demanded for a trade last season, Isaiah Thomas, who was supposed to be their key free agent acquisition last year didn't even last an entire season, and now, another one of the Suns' key player reportedly wants out, as CBSSports reports that Markieff Morris wants nothing to do with the organization.

Burns and Gambo tweeted that according to their sources Morris won't even talk to players or any of the Suns' staff. It has been previously reported that Morris was displeased when his twin brother Marcus was traded to the Detroit Pistons in order to free up cap room in the Suns' failed pursuit of LaMarcus Aldridge.

As the CBSSports report notes, all the signs appear to point to the organization having internal turmoil with the recent exodus of players. Dragic has never had a reputation of being a diva, but demanded a trade; Thomas had some words about the organization after he was traded; while there have also been conflicting stories about how Channing Frye"”a key element of the Suns successful first season under Hornacek"”left town.

The report also points out that the trend of players not trusting the front office, and the recent dysfunction inside the locker room could be troubling for what is supposed to be a potent, young team. They went from a team just a game short of the playoffs, to losing their three-point shooting center, an All-NBA guard, a key free agent acquisition, and if Morris should bolt, perhaps their second-best player on the current roster after Eric Bledsoe.
