'Reign' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Series Premiere Date Changed To Early 2017?

Actor Adam Croasdell is set to make an appearance in at least three episodes of "Reign" season 4 as Bothwell, the third husband of Queen Mary.

According to reports, Bothwell is a warm-hearted bad boy who is devoted to Mary. While viewers have yet to know what his character will bring to the table, royalty is expected to bring out many of his different qualities in the upcoming season.

The final episode of "Reign" season 3 followed Queen Mary as she moved forward with her plan to seize the throne from Elizabeth through the help of Gideon. Fans knew that Mary's arrival in Scotland was just the tip of the iceberg, and there's more of her story that has to be told. However, it might be a while before the new episode of the historical drama returns to the small screen.

According to reports, the premiere date of the next season has been moved to early next year. This is very untraditional, since fans are used to seeing a new batch of its episodes every fall.

"Reign" season 4 will revolve around the life of Mary as a married woman after she married Lord Danley. It is interesting how their relationship will play out, especially since Danley has an ambitious mother who will move mountains just to make sure that her son secures the crown.

Based on history, Queen Mary married Lord Danley while she was still the queen. It is expected that their story will be one of the highlights of the upcoming season.

"Reign" season 4 airs sometime next year on The CW.
