'Red Dead Redemption' PS4 News: Games Hits PS Now Streaming Service On December 6

Rockstar's Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Western adventure will soon hit Sony's PS Now game-streaming service.

Since the game was first released in 2010, PC players have been hoping for a port. Currently, PS Now beams video games from the cloud, just as how Netflix serves up movies. It is already available on both PS4 and PC in The Netherlands, Belgium, North America and the United Kingdom. With Redemption hitting Sony's PS Now this month, fans can finally play the hit adventure game on both the PS4 and PC.

"Red Dead Redemption," the second game in the series, can already be played on Xbox One. This is part of the system's backward compatibility with the Xbox 360. Players who own the game either digitally or physically for the last generation console of Microsoft can play Redemption on Xbox One with zero additional charge.

The case is different for players who are using PS Now. With its resolution, players need a subscription to the service amounting to at least $20 a month. While PS Now is not the best option for now because it does not allow the installation of mods, this option is still better than nothing at all. Also, PS Now lets PC gamers play PS3 games even without having their own Sony systems.

According to reports, the reemergence of "Red Dead" in recent months is due to Rockstar's plan to launch the sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" sometime in late 2017.If the rumors are true, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be the third game in the series and will be one of the most anticipated releases next year.

"Red Dead Redemption" hits the PS Now streaming service on December 6.
