It is definitely a big coincidence that all of a sudden, country musicians like Blake Shelton and estranged wife Miranda Lambert have recently chosen the road to finally separate or divorce after years of being married. And just like Shelton, Reba McEntire and husband Narvel Blackstock just recently also announced that they are separating.

It was a shock for many when Shelton and Lambert jointly announced that they have already finalized their divorce without anyone knowing that they were even having some tough time in their marriage. And recently, McEntire and Blackstock surprised people even more since the two have been married for 26 years already.

McEntire and Blackstock, who shares a son together have apparently been separated for months already before they chose to speak about the current status of their relationship. In McEntire's personal website, the couple's joint statement mentioned that they have been separated for the "past few months."

However it seemed like the split was not contentious since the two also report that "despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other."

Although the two didn't really say that they are divorcing since they might be satisfied with just splitting up, the two assures people that they will remain to be in good terms since the statement concluded, "They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time."

While many might not have been noticing that the two were under some tension with their marriage, it is noticeable however that McEntire and Blackstock have last been seen together publicly at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas when the 60-year-old singer was honored.

And since then, there was silence from the two and there was not one time that they were seen together which could really have a connection to the two being already separated.
