Real Madrid Transfer Rumors 2015 News, Rumors: Gareth Bale and David de Gea Front and Center
Two names appear to be front and center anytime there is a discussion of Real Madrid transfer rumors, and those are Gareth Bale and David de Gea.
Bale, who had a standout first season with Real Madrid last year, has been the focus of persistent transfer rumors during his much criticized second season with the Los Blancos. But despite Manchester United's expressed desire to sign the world's most expensive footballer, and the Madrid fans' constant discontent with the Welshman's play, Bale insists he has no desire to leave Real Madrid.
No matter how the fans feel, Bale can find comfort in knowing that his coach supports him fully. "He had a fantastic season last year, and he is having a very good season this time. He did very well for us in the finals that we played and we need him for this season's run-in too," said Carlo Ancelotti of his 86 million pound player who has scored 17 goals so far this season for Real Madrid.
On the flip side, it has been no secret that Real are thirsting for United keeper de Gea, projecting him as the long-term replacement for veteran Iker Casiilas. There have been speculation that Real would send Bale in exchange for de Gea plus cash from United, but as the Daily Mail opines, a swap may not even be necessary for Madrid to land their desired keeper.
De Gea is familiar with Madrid, having played for Atletico before, and his girlfriend who lives in Madrid made recent unflattering comments about Manchester that only added fuel to the rumors that de Gea is looking at a Spanish return.
It's not far-fetched that both Bale and de Gea will be wearing the Los Blancos jersey next year. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo also had to win over the high-critical fans when he first began his stint with the Spanish giants. Bale has expressed he wants nothing else but to do the same.
