'Real Housewives of Orange County' stars Vicki Gunvalson and long-time boyfriend Brooks Ayers announced their split earlier this week, jointly on their social media, telling everyone that they've finally decided to take separate paths after four years together.

The former couple, despite their split may still be on good terms since they released a joint statement on Facebook saying, "After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other," the couple wrote.

The two revealed as well that they still have love for each other despite of their decision to finally break up. "We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths," the couple continued.

The reality stars also made it clear that it is their first and final statement of the matter. "There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time."

Their break up comes just in the midst of their reality series on Bravo TV which still shows them being together since the series were shot reportedly between January and May of this year. The series will also reportedly showcase their relationship experiencing some turbulence that might have contributed to their recently announced split.

In fact, the former couple previously announced their split back in 2013 but reconciled after a year. And so after a long four years of being together, Gunvalson and Ayers finally called it quits but people would still know that the two have had indeed a great relationship together especially since their journey was followed on the show.
