'Real Housewives of New York City' Spoilers: Season 7 Promises More Drama to Compensate for Ratings Drop

When the last season of "The Real Housewives of New York City" fell in ratings from 2.6 to 1 million, producers promised that season seven of the show would prove to be filled with the drama that viewers know and love.

Last October, US Weekly reveal exclusively that show veteran Bethenny Frankler would return to the reality TV show. In a trailer released by Bravo on Monday, the stories are true with Frankler appearing in several scenes.

Frankler will be joining former cast mates Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan. Those she hasn't met yet are Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, and Kristen Taekman, and newcomer Dorinda Medley. The trailer showed the women causing their usual drama and mischief in several locations in NYC, the Hampton, and Turks and Caicos.

Frankler left the show four years ago and is looking to return to the limelight. During her absence she built a diet empire called Skinnygirl, starred in spin-off shows "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After," and hosted her own talk show. Her talk show was canceled in February of last year and has since divorced Jason Hoppy. She also has a 4-year-old daughter Bryn and wrote a children's book called 'Cookie Meets Peanut' inspired by her daughter.

In the trailer Frankler talks briefly about her divorce and how difficult it has been to move on and find a new life for herself. Singer also discusses her divorce with husband Mario of 22 years. Both women comfort each other as they both struggle with the same trial. Newcomer Medley looks like she will bring her own drama to the table as well as she talks about her husband, who passed away three years ago.

With eight personalities on the screen, tension and plenty of drama will be provided for viewers. The premiere of "The Real Housewives of New York City" airs on Tuesday, Apr. 7, at 9:00 pm EST on Bravo.
