'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Teresa Giudice News: Melissa Gorga on Troubled RHONJ Family
On 'Watch What Happens Live' with host and Bravo executive Andy Cohen, Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga gave viewers updates on Teresa who is serving a 15-month prison sentence and Joe Giudice who is raising their four daughters.
Melissa said, "It's heartwarming to see him. He's manning up, and he's doing what he had to do."
Joe is raising his four daughters, Gia 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5 while their mother is in prison for fraud charges. Once Teresa is released, Joe will serve his 41-month prison sentence for fraud charges also.
According to US Weekly communication is there but it is limited. Melissa said the she wrote Teresa a letter and spoke with Joe over the phone.
Melissa said it's hard for Joe, 42, to raise the girls on his own. She said that the situation was "heavy on his heart." She also told viewers and Cohen that Teresa, also 42, is doing well in prison.
At the time of the hearing, Teresa and Joe told the court that they were deeply sorry for the actions they had done and the harm they had caused their family. According to Deadline, the majority of the 39 charges were indicted on July 2013. In addition, the case revealed that Joe was an illegal immigrant and could face deportation to Italy after service his time. The couple's filing for bankruptcy was revoked in and the couple owe millions of dollars once again.
The three adults appear on Bravo's the Real Housewives of New Jersey. The charges from Teresa and Joe can date back before the show started up to the first and second seasons.
