'Real Housewives of New Jersey' News: Teresa Giudice Gets Visit from Family

Ever since Teresa Giudice was brought to prison at the beginning of the year, the reality Real Housewives of New Jersey star hasn't gotten the chance to see her family. At long last, Giudice's family came to visit.

This is 42-year-old Teresa Giudice's first time to see her family since the beginning of her 15-month-long sentence on January 5th. According to RadarOnline, Giudice has been keeping occupied by working out and meeting others. While prison cells certainly pale in comparison to Teresa's own mansion, the girls there have reportedly been pretty nice to her, and treating her well.

"She's been doing great," Giudice's lawyer commented, "I got a series of emails from her and she is doing phenomenally. It seems like she is getting acclimated very well. She tells me that everybody is nice and everybody is treating her respectfully. She said both the staff and the inmates are being nice to her and that she is getting along fine."

Fortunately, Giudice won't have to make nice for much longer. The reality TV star's sentence has been shortened to 13 months.

Last week, Giudice was prevented from seeing her family, although the real reason is not known. Some speculate that there was paperwork barring Giudice's husband Joe from visiting, and others gossip that the mother of four didn't want to disrupt her girls' daily activities.

Meanwhile, Gia will be taking over many of her mother's responsibilities as the oldest girl in the house. They had a lot to talk about when Gia met Giudice, although we're sure they were just happy to see each other again.
