'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' News: Kyle Richards Talks Parenting, Giving Back

'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kyle Richards recently opened up about the methods and tactics she uses while raising her 6-year-old daughter. Despite all of the wealth that she and her husband have at their finger tips, the pair make an effort to teach Portia generosity, charity, and simply giving back.

In an episode of the reality series, which is now in its fifth season, Richards took her family to Lake Tahoe via flying private plane. During the trip, the brunette celebrity expressed her great concern about her daughter.

"It is really hard living in this town where everyone has so much and I think it's important to talk to your kids about that," Richards said, according to E! News, "I do explain to my children, 'You're very fortunate, not everyone is as fortunate as this' and you know it's very important to give back."

Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky apparently make it a point to teach their children the value of money and despite their privileged lifestyle. They make use of many ways one can give back to the community and less privileged others.

Richards revealed that she and Umansky involve their children in their charitable works to teach them the practice of giving back. "They see Mauricio and I giving back, and we take them to things to show them and get involved. So I just think it has to be an open conversation, not just talk about it, but also get out there and see them doing things," Richards said.

In other news, Richards and co-star Brandi Glanville have also been in the spotlight lately for their previous cat fights on the show. Glanville, stated in her interview with Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live' that Richards "stabbed everyone at the back."

However, Richards hasn't responded to Glanville's latest statement.
