'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kim Richards may have had her share of fame and fortune in the past but now, the reality star and famous socialite had been recently arrested for shoplifting. As surprising as it may be, reports claim that Richards has been having difficulties in life lately which may have pushed her to commit the alleged deed.

When reports sparked about Richards being arrested recently for shoplifting a $600 worth of merchandise from Target near Van Nuys, Calif. Several were shocked since Richards has been known to have been well, really rich in the past.

But when she had struggle with her alcohol problems and rumored drug use which had her check into a rehabilitation facility and after a while left for some short period of time, since then, the star had been in the headlines about her being in trouble.

Apparently, her alleged shoplifting arrest had her spend one night in jail but later on bailed for her release costing her $5,000. It is still however unclear if she was under the influence at the time she allegedly shoplifted and the star has yet to answer all the reports about her.

Meanwhile, previous reports suggest that Richards has been having these problems since she didn't complete her stay in rehab to have her fully back on track. "There are people in the family who wish she had stayed in rehab longer," a source revealed to E! News previously adding, "They weren't happy she chose to leave early."

However it has also been previously confirmed by Richards' ex-husband Monty Brinson that his ex-wife was out of rehab and had been sober for 38 days which is a big improvement so it was a surprise for some that Richards was caught up in a shoplifting news. "Stealing is just so out of character for her under normal circumstances," another insider shared with E! News.
