Raven-Symone News: Actress Lands Spot on 'The View' as Co-Host
It's official, child star and former 'Cheetah Girls' star Raven Symone is the new co-host of ABC's daily talk show, 'The View'. It was a fast-paced change that happened on the show's latest episode officially welcoming her to the show and giving her the opportunity to speak out about her opinions.
Indeed it is an exciting new change for the show and it is hoped that Symone will add a different flavour into the mix. Symone is joined by current hosts of the show, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.
The live episode was successful as Symone even laughed off what happened talking with E! News after the live episode. "I learned two seconds before that I didn't get to come out first like I normally did so right then, I was a little flustered and then I came out and they had my song on and then I broke it down like it was hot, but then I had this really short skirt on," she joked adding, "So I was hoping that my grandma and my mom wouldn't have to call and say 'close your legs girl.'
So what can the former 'That's so Raven' Disney star offer on the table? Symone explains herself during her interview saying, "I definitely have a different lifestyle than a lot of people in this world-good and bad-and my views are different than one might think my views might be because I've never really spoken my truth until recently," she said hoping to air out her thoughts on the show well. "Hopefully I can shed some light on what I like to call the truth."
So it is definitely official, and from now on, Symone will be fearless and sometimes even ruthless in airing out her views on The View. "Some people might not agree with me and some people will but we know how to talk to each other in a respectful way so that everybody gets their point across and there's no cutthroat conversation," she continued.
While some may be worried if she will have an altercation with some of the hosts if indeed their opinions are completely opposite, Symone assures the fans that it won't happen. "That's what I love about it too," she shared with E! News. "I can express it. You can express it and we can disagree but we can move on and hug later. I love that."
