Randy Travis Still in Critical Condition, Fans and Country Music Stars Alike Urged to Pray for Speedy Recovery Through Twitter

Beloved country music star, Randy Travis, is still in critical condition this morning. Yesterday, Travis underwent brain surgery to relieve pressure on his brain after suffering from a stroke. He is said to be out of surgery, but no updated news has been released of his current condition since late Wednesday night.

He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, June 7 after showing signs of congestive heart failure. He is being treated at Baylor Health Care System in Texas.

Support is being shown to the Travis family through a nationwide prayer trend. On Twitter, a hashtag reading #PrayforRandy has fans and other country music stars alike tweeting their prayers and words of sympathy and encouragement. 

"Just heard ?@randytravis had a stroke and is in surgery. Praying for Randy, the medical staff and his family. ?#PrayForRandy" said fan Randy Atkins. 

Other big name country music stars, such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley are also showing their support. 

"We're all pulling you for Randy" Brad Paisley said via twitter. 

"Thoughts and prayers continue for Randy Travis. Not only my good friend... I'm a fan of the man and his undeniably distinct voice. Legend!" said Billy Ray Cyrus.

Reba McEntire, Tiffany Thornton, and William Shatner are also tweeting their support.
