Random Hero Live Interview About New Album, "Carry Me, Bury Me"

The recently signed Christian music rock band, Random Hero, delivered a 30-minute interview yesterday about their latest album, "Carry Me, Bury Me" and the expected release of their 2014 album with Red Cord Records. The 12-track album that can easily be compared to Papa Roach, among other rockbands, is easily relatable, while all the while, being inspirational by sharing God's word. Frontman, Aaron Watkins, shared the band's challenging seven year journey to stardom, as the band went through many obstacles to get where they are today.

Random Hero formed in 2005 in Colorado where Aaron was recognized through Myspace for his voice and was enlisted as the lead singer for a band. Through some minor changes with the  line-up, Random Hero was eventually formed with Aaron, his brother in law,  who plays bass, and drummer, John. During the time that Random Hero  was trying to find a record company to sign them, Ben Kasica, former guitarist for Skillet, decided to produce them. "It was a great experience for us. It pretty much helped us define our sound more. He really helped push us, to get the best out of us, that he possibly could", stated Aaron, frontman for Random Hero.

With their mission being " to be the light in the darkness", Random Hero has gone through some challenging moments that made them think twice about what they were doing. During a tour, Random Hero had bought a bus that broke down on them during the middle of tour. With nearly $19,000 of damage, the band rents a car to go to the next show. Yet, when they stop to waste some time at a mall in Texas, the car is broken into and the bands equipment, along with $3,000, and all their belongings are completely stolen. "We had a choice to make. Were we really going to let our circumstances define the outcomes of our ministry, so we went to the bar just as we were. We are pretty theatrical, we dress up, and all of that was gone, so here we are and we roll up to this bar and we're all in lounge clothes. For us, it was just a moment of why are we doing this? We reverted back to we want to be "the light in the darkness", and for us at that time, we were completely in darkness. So we went in and truly just worshipped during the show".

Random Hero also talked about their new single, "Mercy", hitting No.5 on Billboard Christian Music Charts, and how excited they were to hear that the single just keeps moving up the charts to this week being at No. 4. "It's been such a cool thing, we obviously have been putting our dues in and working hard and just seeing where this crazy adventure would take us. It's a really cool feeling. I thought "Mercy" was done and then my manager calls me that next week and was like, "Mercy" is at No. 5, and I was like, What?! It's pretty awesome, Im pretty stoked."  Aaron also shared that the band is currently writing songs for their 2014 album with Redcord Records and that they are expecting it to be one of the best they put out. " I think this record is going to be one of the best we put out. We really want to diligently write and put so much time and effort into everything that we're doing so that we can put out the best record possible."
