'Rambo: Last Blood' Movie News, Details: Sylvester Stallone Returns for Fifth Film
Sylvester Stallone is still going strong as he as recently announced the fifth offering in the John Rambo series of films, 'Rambo: Last Blood'.
More than thirty years ago, the Rambo film, 'First Blood' was released in theaters, and now fans of the series are excited at the chance to see Stallone in the role one last time.
It seems he tweeted earlier this week that he'll be filming a gangster biopic about Gregory "the Grim Reaper" Scarpa after shooting 'Rambo: Last Blood'. His last Rambo movie earned $113 million worldwide and seven years have passed since then.
Now, after plenty of speculation, he has finally announced the title for the fifth (and presumably final) Rambo movie, 'Rambo: Last Blood'.
He has been thinking of ending the Rambo movies since 2008 - he wanted to retire Rambo forever and probably bring him back for a last hurrah. That is what appears to be in his mind because he plans to write, direct, as well as star in 'Rambo: Last Blood'.
According to Time, this time around John Rambo is going to take on a drug cartel. There is no doubt that Sylvester Stallone is determined to prove that one cannot put a good man down.
Just for the record, the first movie in the series was 'First Blood'. It was the story of a Vietnam veteran on the run. This was followed by 'Rambo: First Blood Part II' which was about his quest to rescue U.S. prisoners of war. Then came two more - 'Rambo III' in 1988 and 'Rambo' in 2008.
