'Rainbow Six Siege' Update, Patch Release Date News: Unforeseen Bug Issue Delays PS4, Xbox One Patch Release
In line with Ubisoft's shooter video game "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige," it has been revealed that its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One patch has been delayed because of bug issues.
According to Game Spot, an unexpected bug reportedly led the developer team to delay the release of the newest patch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige."
On Apr. 4, Ubisoft announced on its forum page the delay on the patch's release. In a statement, the game publisher wrote that due to "unforeseen circumstances" related to the stability of the build, the maintenance on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 had been postponed.
Ubisoft added its apology for the inconvenience caused by the delay and mentioned that it would provide further update with regard the maintenance as soon as possible.
Previously, it was revealed that a patch for "Rainbow Six Seige" PC version, which came out on Mar. 30. The new patch aims to deal with balance changes, reinforce improvements, as well as develop bug fixes, such as advertisement panel, spawn killing, and the new block of ice on the Yacht map. Following its release, the developers learned about the bug and released a temporary fix.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige" is a first-person shooter video game and the successor to the cancelled game "Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots." It mainly focuses on environmental destruction and participation among players, along with missions called "situations" that can be played in online mode.
Initially released on Dec. 1, 2015, "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige" can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
