'Rainbow Six Siege' Patch News: Latest Update 4.1 Downloadable On PS4, Bug Fixes Added

New details on the latest update for Ubisoft's "Rainbow Six Siege" have surfaced.

"Rainbow Six Siege's" new update is 4.1 and it is now out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. As per the publication, the upgrade is 928MB if it will be downloaded on the PlayStation 4; hence, it boosts the overall size of all PlayStation 4 updates to 8.1GB.

Update 4.1 is meant to resolve bugs and issues, as per the publication, and the largest changes the upgrade is set to bring to the game include user interface enhancements, semi-auto shotgun balancing, as well as Pulse rebalancing.

In terms of user interface, update 4.1 has made the icon more transparent and the red X more visible to enhance the dead Operator. For shotgun balancing, the developers have reduced both short and medium range raw damage by about 25 to 30 percent. Also, the dispersion cones of hipfire and Aim Down Sight (ADS) have become wider by 1.5 degrees.

With regards to Pulse rebalancing, the detection range of the Pulse's Heartbeat Sensor has been decreased to 9m, from 13m. Also, the Pulse has lost its instantaneous switch from the Heartbeat Sensor to the previously equipped weapon. As per reports, this means that a delay of 0.8 seconds takes place prior to the player's gunshot.

Along with the aforementioned changes, update 4.1 has also affected the entire gameplay. According to VG247, shield operators motion speed has become faster, such as in Season 2. Also, the update prevents an attacker's death while detonating a second Breaching Charge.

"Rainbow Six Siege's" update 4.1 was released on Aug. 25.
