'Quantum Break' Steam News & Update: Timeless Collector’s Edition Coming On Steam

Along with Remedy Entertainment's "Quantum Break's" release on Steam is its Timeless Collector's Edition.

"Quantum Break's" Timeless Collector's Edition is also out now, Game Spot has learned. As per the publication, it joins the game's physical version, which was released for PC. The Collection Edition includes a soundtrack CD, an artbook, a making-of Blu-ray, and premium packaging.

As per the report, it is added that the game was only sold through Microsoft's Windows Store and its Steam version and physical release were set to arrive on Sept. 14. However, mastery and production of the game's physical copies reportedly needed more time.

The game received a rating of 6 out of 10, as per game reviewer Peter Brown, as cited by Game Spot. According to the publication, the gameplay was essentially divided equally between combat and hapless environmental traversal.

"Getting to the end of Quantum Break can be an interesting ride at times," Brown said. "...but no matter how impressive the combat is, or how great the game looks, there's no getting around the fact that it's driven by a story with limited appeal and hindered by disappointing design decisions," he added.

"Quantum Break" was initially developed with DirectX11, as per PC Games Hardware. According to the report the game's recommended system requirements include Windows 10 (64-bit) operating system, a core i5-4690 3.9 GHz AMD-equivalent processor, Geforce GTX 970 and Radeon R9 390 graphics, 16 GB of memory, RirextX11, and 68 GB disk.

In August, Remedy also confirmed the game enhancements. As per the report, these include the frame rates upscaling and tweaking, LOD Render Distance, and film grains.

Published by Microsoft Windows, "Quantum Break" was initially released for Windows and Xbox One on Apr. 5.
