'Quantico' Season 2 Episode 9 Promo, Spoilers: Series Airs On Mondays Starting Next Year

Since the series began, "Quantico" has had its fair share of turmoil both on and off camera. As the creators of the series plan some big changes for the current season, fans are now eager to know what they should expect when the series returns next year.

According to reports, "Quantico" season 2 will be moved from its usual time slot on Sundays to air on Mondays instead. Starting January, the series will reportedly occupy the timeslot which was previously taken by "Conviction," another ABC production.

Creators of "Conviction" confirmed that the series has no more additional episodes ordered so its current season will end with the 13th episode, which will air in January. While its looming termination is sad news for "Conviction" fans, "Quantico" fans hope that the new time slot will help their favorite series get additional exposure and gain new viewers.

However, Cinema Blend recently reported that the future of "Quantico" does not look bright either. According to the site, the current timeslot of the series is less desirable for viewers since it airs at 10:00 P.M. on Sundays. The ratings of the series do not go above 1.0, that even its midseason finale only accumulated a rating of 0.7. While the show manages to attract viewers, it only hides its success in DVR. Cinema Blend revealed that the decision to move the show to a different time slot is a test carried out by the ABC Network to see if it could help in the show's ratings. If not, then its current season might be its last.

"Quantico" season 2 resumes on January 23, 2017 on ABC.
