QuakeCon 2016 News Roundup: Surprises Include Updates On ‘Quake Champions,’ ‘Prey,’ ‘Fallout 4,’ ‘Doom’
QuakeCon 2016 unveiled various surprises for fans and gamers, including updates on Bethesda's "Quake Champions," "Prey," "Fallout 4," and "Doom."
Bethesda launched its gameplay trailer for "Quake Champions." The video for the shooting game features various in-game locales, large eyeball, other gunners, and the villains, not to mention that the trailer is at a smooth 60 frames per second, PC World reports. Also, players can choose from a wide selection of characters who have different sets of combat skills.
The game developer also featured a trailer for its other upcoming title "Prey." The trailer features the voice of game protagonist Morgan. According to him, there was something he could not see, but that could see him. He also said that that something saw everything, adding that someone had to die to make things right. For Morgan, he did not know who and it was a solid life strategy.
QuakeCon 2016 also featured "Fallout 4's" Nick Valentine, as per IGN. According to the publication, the character is in its life-sized iteration, which has components that make it as a total "powerhouse PC." It is further revealed that Valentine was one of the impressive sights at the event.
Another attraction at QuakeCon 2016 was ID Software's "Doom" board game, which was adapted by Fantasy Flight Games. According to IGN, the creators revealed that game has a couple of operations involving six missions to battle, along with miniature characters that act as 3D iterations of the game.
