PS4 'Yukimura' 2.50 Update News: Features to Include Suspend/Resume Capability

The Playstation network plans on releasing the 2.50 update for the PS4 soon and many users are skeptical on what additions and fixes it plans to bring.

In Playstation's Official Blog, they detail a feature that they've previously promised that allows players to switch in and out of their game at will. This amongst other features are now available in the update.

"When we unveiled PS4 two years ago, we announced Suspend/Resume, a feature that would enable PS4 users to jump in and out of their games faster than ever. This has been a feature gamers have been excited about since then, and today I am honored to officially confirm that system software update 2.50, 'Yukimura', will soon deliver Suspend/Resume, as well as a number of other requested features to PS4," writes Playstation Blog.

This feature is designed to allow players less time getting into their game, and more time just playing where they've left off.

Other advances include Remote Play and sharing capability at 60fps, Facebook Friend Search, and new accessibility options.

There is currently no release date for "Yukimura," but is speculated to drop sometime this month or next.
