PS4 Update 4.0 News: Beta Registration Opened Now In North America
Sony is looking for volunteers who want to participate in the beta program for the upcoming PS4 Update 4.0, according to news reports.
Apparently, the beta will begin in the first week of August but registration is already open for North America or Europe. Participants need to be 18 years old or older, connected to the Internet and also have a Master Account.
If you are in North America, register here for the PS4 Update 4.0 beta. If you are in Europe, you can go here. Volunteers who may not like the experience can go back to the 3.55 version anytime they want.
John Koller, Sony's VP for marketing, confirmed this by saying, "If you're part of the program, you'll receive an email with instructions on downloading the beta version of the next system software. In order to sign up, you'll need a PS4 with an internet connection, and access to a Master Account. And remember - you can roll back to the previous system software, version 3.55, at any time."
However, there's no news yet on what to expect for the beta of the PS4 Update 4.0.
Game Rant expects Sony to give more details on the Sony's PS4 Update 4.0 for the duration of the beta. Nevertheless, early rumors have hinted of new folders and apps management.
Reports also noted that in April this year, with its 3.50 update, Sony teased a lot of goodies such as a USB music player, support for up to 4 terabyte worth of hard drive storage, the PlayStation Plus hub and the strengthening of communities.
