PS4 Neo Specs, Price News: Console Released With PS4 Slim, Thinner Version?
The PlayStation Neo is out on Sept. 7, according to Game Spot. In a statement, as cited by the publication, a GameStop executive said that they would know more obviously after Sept. 7. As per the publication, the staff was referring to the PlayStation event.
The executive reportedly affirmed that the PlayStation Neo sales has already been included in GameStop's earnings margin; however, it is reportedly in "light form," as the forthcoming console is yet to be formally announced.
The PlayStation Neo is bound to arrive with the PlayStation 4 Slim, the thinner version of the PS4, according to International Business Times; however, the leak of the slimmer console suggests that it is set to come out prior to the Neo, as per the publication.
While the Neo and Slim are assumed to be released at the same time, it is rumored the the consoles differ in price. As per the publication, the PlayStation Neo may get a price of $450 to $500 while the PlayStation 4 Slim may cost around $350.
In terms of visuals, it is assumed that the PlayStation Neo, along with the PlayStation 4 Slim, is set to retain the visual quality of a modern PlayStation console. Its specifications, according to leaked details cited by International Business Times, include a higher frequency Jaguar core, eight cores at 2.1 GHz, enhanced version of AMD GCN CUs, and 8GB GDDR5, among others.
