'Prometheus 2' Release Date, Cast News: Two Roles Confirmed for November 2015 Premiere

'Prometheus', a box office hit, is set to have a sequel which is scheduled to premiere on March 4, 2016. However, reports claim that the sequel may be pushed back in its release date as the film's director focuses on another FOX film,'The Martian', which is set to be released on November 25, 2015.

While fans looking forward to 'The Martian' are excited to hear about its development, fans anticipating 'Prometheus 2' have become a little worried. With a release date already two years away, a longer wait is the last things fans want to hear about.

On a positive note, production for 'Prometheus 2' is apparently in the middle stages of its development. which means it's less likely to be delayed.

In terms of the sequel's plot, all that can be said is that Jack Paglen working on the Ridley Scott's movie. In regards to the cast, only two roles have been confirmed as of yet. Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace will be returning to reprise their roles as David, the android ship maintenance man, and as Elizabeth Shaw, the archeologist.

It is an exciting film to look forward to as the original 'Prometheus' film' which was released two years ago, had gross earnings of $400 million at the box office. This has the production team putting in some serious effort to ensure the sequel's success.

The sci-fi film sequel is said to be a prequel to the 1979 film called 'Alien' which Paglen has already finished writing, according to reports. Fans can expect that the film's production is working really hard as the original film gained a lot of reverence in the general public.
