On Thursday, contestants of the Lifetime Emmy Award winning show 'Project Runway All Stars' had to battle their emotions as the fourth episode of the show forced them to draw inspiration from their relationships to make dresses.

In the fourth episode of Season 4, called "Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve," the contestants were tasked to create a look, which had elements of their past present and future relationships in the past, for only $100.

However, the designers must make a party dress, which means no black or white clothes.

The winner of the challenge would win a $10,000 challenge prize plus a $15,000 pendant from Zales Jewelry store.

The designers were given some time to make sketches of their party dresses and then they were sent to the fabric store.

Dmitry braved it out with a vinyl fabric, while Benjamin, noticing that the others picked red and pink fabrics, chose a gold material.

Once the materials were bought, the designers headed back to their workroom to begin making their pieces.

While the all stars were making the dresses that represented their relationships, metaphors began flying around the workroom.

According to Benjamin, who previously settled for a gold fabric, finding true love is "like finding gold."

Kate is making a "baby-doll dress because she said she met her husband in preschool. Sonjia, who is now engaged, made a "lace cage" dress which represented that she was already closed off.

Meanwhile as Gunnar was working on his dress, he revealed that he was "newly single" and was hoping that the competition will pave the way for him to get closure.

Helen, on the other hand, said she wanted to use the challenge to boost her self-confidence since her ex-boyfriend didn't even watch the show.

While the designers were making the dresses, their mentor Zanna Roberts Rossi arrived to comment and give recommendations on the Allstar's designs.

Rossi approves of Benjamins dress, but tells Gunnar to add some spice to his dress. She critiques Sonjia's dress saying it was too "mother of the bride" and told Dmitry that his dress was "too cheap."

After the critiquing portion, models were sent in to fit the dresses and do any alterations needed.

The following day, the dresses were finished in time for the runway show.

Alyssa Milano went to the runway to introduce the judges, which included Nina Garcia, Danielle Bernstein, Isaac Mizraahi and Seth Aaron Henderson. After the introduction, the models began walking on the runway wearing the designer's creation.

After the show, Alyssa announced that all the designers will be receiving a $1,000 gift card courtesy of Zales because of their impressive designs.

After the judges deliberation, Helen was announced as the the week's winner, while Kate was eliminated from the show.
