‘Project Cars’ Release Date News: Game Pushed to May 2015 Instead of Launching in April
The Japanese gaming studio Bandai Namco and dev team Slightly Mad Studios have announced that they are currently postponing the release of the racing simulation game, 'Project Cars', to May 2015 instead of appearing in stores later this month.
"We can now guarantee a release date for Project Cars for 8th May for PS4, Xbox One and PC," Bandai Namco UK tweets. The Wii U has not been confirmed to get a release date but it is expected to be available before the year ends.
According to the game's FAQ, the release dates are as follows: May 7th for Europe, Australia and Asia, May 8th for the UK, and May 12th for US and Canada.
The hyper-realistic racing game was supposed to be released in November. When that came around, they had pushed the game for March and then April. The game's delay was reported by latintimes to be due to "tricky bugs" according to Slight Mad Studio's Ian Bell.
According to GameSpot, the creative team behind has also announced that there have been a large improvement for the game which includes 110 courses and 30 locations to race in. The locations have been recently uploaded into the game's website which includes the Nurburgring circuit in Germany, Chesterfield Karting circuit in the UK, Sakkito in Japan and others.
Ian Bell had released statement to reassure their fans that the delay is absolutely needed before the game can be launched publicly.
"Despite our long heritage and pedigree in making critically-acclaimed racing games, Project CARS is by far the grandest and most intricately detailed of them all. Despite therefore the game being 99.9 percent complete, the remaining 0.1 percent attending to small issues and bugs has been tricky to anticipate. We're absolutely dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking experience and by targeting mid-May fans can be assured that's what they'll receive.
"Again, we want to thank our fans for their support and patience on this matter. There's a high expectancy from racing fans around the world that Project CARS is going to be an exciting new contender in the simulation racing space and we firmly believe gamers deserve it to be in its most complete and polished state when they come to play it on day one."
The Studio head also promises a surprising compensation for those who have been waiting patiently for the game's release and encourage fans to be keen on the website for it.
