'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers, News: Production Nears Completion? Arriving In Next Spring
"Prison Break" season 5 is set to return next spring, and fans are already eager to know what happens after the big reveal that Michael Scofield was actually alive and was only working with some terrorists in the Middle East.
Recent reports about the series claim that "Prison Break" is already wrapping up filming for the upcoming season. The report started to make the rounds online after the writers of the series responded to a tweet of a fan who asked for some updates on the completion of the season 5 production.
"We've got about a week left. We're not ready," replied one of the writers via his Twitter account.
The same account also revealed that the filming for the upcoming season was done in order of episodes, wherein two episodes are being shot in every filming session.
Moreover, the writers revealed that two new female characters will be introduced next season.
The previous season of "Prison Break" aired in 2009. The season 4 finale saw the death of Michael Scofield, leading to the disappointment of fans. When the writers of the show decided to renew the series for another season, Michael's character was resurrected by making it appear that he was not really dead, but was just working for terrorist groups in the Middle East.
In other news, Lincoln Burrows' Dominic Purcell will reprise his role in season 5. In May, he was injured while filming one of his scenes for the series. Since his injuries were too serious, the production decided to incorporate his accident in the plot of season 5.
"Prison Break" is set to premiere in spring of 2017 on FOX.
