'Prison Break' Season 5 Release Date, Rumors: Michael's Return Will Not Be A Happy Ending For Sara?

Following the events from season 4, "Prison Break" comes back with a time jump.

"Prison Break" season 5 will see the resurrected Wentworth Miller in the person of Michael Scofield. No further details have been disclosed about his return and what he's been up to since his love interest, Sara, said her goodbye six years ago, but one thing is certain:  the time gap has been too long for the love of his life to stick around.

Spoilers suggest that Michael's return does not mean a happy ending for him and his love interest, as she has already gotten hitched to Scott Ness.

To be played by Mark Feuerstein, Scott is described as an incredibly powerful man. His exact role in the season is still unknown, but some fans have a sneaking suspicion that Scott may either be one of the antagonists to watch out for in the upcoming installation, or that he may be the one responsible for helping Michael escape death.

In an interview, Sarah Callies who plays Sara said: "It's a really interesting challenge to think about resurrecting a character I said goodbye to six years ago. I loved her and it never occurred to me we would be doing this."

Callies' appearance in the season has not been confirmed yet, so some fans consider the possibility of Sara marrying Scott and divorcing him eventually, or dying.  One of the possible reasons cited for her absence in the reunion is her commitment to the filming of her new movie entitled "Colony."

While everything is still in the works, more and more interesting stories surface about the popular series. One of them is that Michael Scofield allots at least four hours a day to have a $20,000 worth of tattoo inked on his body in preparation for his return in the series.

The premiere date for "Prison Break' season 5 is not confirmed by Fox, but it's rumored to be released this year.
