"Prison Break" season 5 actor Faran Tahir has revealed the series' release date and talked about his role in the show.

Tahir indirectly unveiled the release date of "Prison Break" season 5 in his Facebook post on Apr. 15. He wrote that he would be playing the recurring role of Jamil on "Prison Break" sequel (Mini TV Series) season 5, which was expected to air from Sept. 2016.

On Apr. 17, Tahir was confirmed as the newest cast member of "Prison Break" season 5, as per The Express Tribune. In his interview with the publication, the actor also talked about how he got the role. He said that his agent had been approached for the TV series offering him the role and he had accepted.

According to Tahir, the beauty of the show was the reunion of all the loved characters with the inclusion of some new ones, which suggests that "Prison Break" season 5 will see a blend of old and new actors. The actor added that the story had been taken forward in a very smart way.

Tahir also shared what he knew about his character in "Prison Break" season 5. In an interview with The Bit Bag, the actor revealed that his role was slightly different from his former roles as a usual Muslim man.

As per Tahir, for "Prison Break" season 5, he would be playing the role of a man who had an inner conflict which was something he loved experimenting with. The actor also mentioned that he always enjoyed playing characters that had a very human element to them, adding that it was more challenging and rewarding as an actor to explore various human traits.

For the time being, "Prison Break" season 5 is expected to air in September.
