'Prey' Gameplay Trailer: New Footage Features Combat In Space Station

Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for "Prey" and it shows what fans can expect from the game's space station.

The trailer was released at Gamescom 2016 and opens with the game character holding a gun at the space station. As he investigates the locale, he sees dead creatures and then shifts his weapon.

In the brighter side of the structure, the character sees creatures that move like spiders. Fortunately, he is able to freeze them with his weapons. The trailer also confirms that players may select an action from a variety of options, along with descriptions to help them make their choice.

Further, the trailer sequences show the station exterior, which lets the players' characters to float in space and explore it. As it is broader than the space station, it is assumed that the players' safety is not guaranteed.

The title will include more shooting, according to game director Raphael Colantino. In a statement, as cited by Gamespot, Colantino said that the game was more like a hybrid game where there was narrative mixed with action blended with a little bit of a role-playing game layer.

"Prey" is Bethesda and Arkane Studio's forthcoming first-person shooting video game and sequel to the original 2006 "Prey" video game. Set in a space station, the title lets players assume the role of Morgan Yu, who has to face a number of violent aliens. The player also have to collect and utilize weapons for Yu to survive the alien infested station.

"Prey" is set to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows in 2017.
