'Prey' Gameplay News: Morgan Yu Unveils New Copying Skills

New details on the gameplay of Arkane Studios' "Prey" have surfaced and as per reports, players are set to see a new copying ability.

Bethesda has revealed a new mimicking ability in "Prey," Game N Guide has learned. As per the publication, the Mimic ability allows players' characters to morph into a various physical forms, as well as copy and use the physical properties of an object.

A case in point is a coffee cup, which was copied by the character in the "Prey" trailer. This is allow himself go through the small opening to the inner part of the room. This way, players will be able to widen their strategies in the game.

In terms of the abilities scope, the game developer remained tight-lipped, as per reports. This includes the restrictions when it comes to the objects the player's character can copy. Nonetheless, the ability is seen as one of the useful ones in the game's entirety.

Players assume the role of radar experiment subject Morgan Yu. As per Gamescom, as cited by True Achievement, the character sees a new weapon, which is called the Gloo Cannon. The weapon is utilized to freeze alien foes in place, which was previously featured in one of the "Prey" gameplay trailers, and Morgan uses the Superthermal ability to finish off frozen enemies. Also, players can use the Gloo Cannon to shift locations or to freeze a fiery path for safety.
